In this blog, we'll be exploring the first major update for the factory simulator StarRupture. There are some exciting things introduced into this update that we'd love to go over with you. While there isn't a ton in terms of content, there are a bunch of changes that seemingly needed to be made before any significant updates were made.
One thing players returning to their save after the update will immediately notice is that all corporation levels are set back to 0, with a huge surplus of data points. Any buildings unlocked will stay active and functional, but will not be able to be constructed until unlocked again. While this change is frustrating, it is understandable as things were not entirely balanced on the initial launch of the game.
One big change is that teleporters are no longer found as blueprints in the world but rather are now a corporate level unlock. This is a great change for the longevity of the game, as the teleporters were formerly could be unlocked very early on into a playthrough.
While there were mostly only changes to the progression, there is one big addition that will definitely be expanded upon in further updates. When the Forgotten Engine mission line is completed, the radiation wall will be removed, allowing you to access tons of new areas deemed inaccessible prior to the mission. There's tons of stuff beyond those borders we'll leave up to you to explore and discover.
