Conan Exiles Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part One

Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part One is now available for Conan Exiles Enhanced, and this is not just another maintenance patch. It opens a new dungeon and storyline beneath the Unnamed City, brings Legendary repair back into the game, and starts a free four-part story arc that will continue over the coming months.

The Cyclopean Halls are a large endgame dungeon beneath the Unnamed City, built through the ruins of the Giant-Kings. With Akhamet guiding the way, players fight through sacrificial chambers, bridges, and underground halls, collect Legendary Fragments, and work towards the final boss and the Legendary repair station. It is the main playable part of this first chapter, not a new open-world map or region.

The Giant-Kings ruled the Exiled Lands long before the world players know now, with the Unnamed City at the centre of their empire. Their war with the Lemurians and the sandstorm that followed left the capital buried and their civilisation in ruins. The Cyclopean Halls dig into one of the oldest parts of Conan Exiles' story rather than sending players into an unrelated side dungeon.

This is only the opening chapter. Another three free parts are due over the next few months, continuing the Giant-Kings story with more challenges and rewards. For established server groups, it gives everyone a clear reason to return to the same world, gear up, and head into something new together.

Legendary repair is back too. Players can restore battle-worn Legendary weapons and armour again, extending the life of gear that would otherwise have to be retired. Funcom has placed the repair system inside the new dungeon, giving established characters a practical reason to return after finishing the story.

There is one issue worth knowing about before heading in. Legendary Fragments do not currently move when using Give All, so transfer those manually until Funcom fixes it.

Patch 2.0.0 brings several useful changes alongside the new content. Player inventory capacity has gone from 200 to 210 slots, the maximum number of save slots is now 10, downed thralls show as Dying with a countdown, and crafting stations should correctly update when a more experienced crafter is assigned.

There is worthwhile server performance work too. Funcom has reduced the cost of processing placeables and improved building stability processing at startup and when pieces are removed or replaced. FSR Frame Generation support has also been extended to Nvidia 10, 20, and 30 series cards, while dedicated server builds are slightly smaller after unused Vulkan libraries were removed.

The update also fixes several problems around the Cyclopean Halls, including follower pathing on its bridges, the final boss door and spawn, invisible barriers, dungeon holes, and the Withered Scion respawn timer. It also fixes a crash caused by multiple mods adding journeys, so modded server owners should check the mods their group relies on before updating.

If you run a Conan Exiles server, update it before everyone heads beneath the Unnamed City and make sure the server and players are on the same build. Keep a backup before the first bigger session too.
