Rust Power Trip update

Rust Power Trip is now live, turning several familiar monuments into bits of infrastructure that players have to maintain for the whole server. Heavy Fuses found as loot can be installed at Power Plant to bring parts of the island grid back online, with each connected system demanding a different amount of power. One group doing the work there can change what is available at roads, recyclers, and other monuments for everyone else on the map.

Once the grid is running, transformers on roadside powerline poles can feed electricity into player circuits, with the available output rising as Power Plant receives more power. The poles are climbable too, which makes tapping into the grid useful, visible, and just dangerous enough to feel like Rust. Recycling is tied into the same system: green recyclers outside safe zones fall from 60% to 50% efficiency when the power is down, while a new red recycler at Power Plant reaches 75% only when the monument is fully powered.

Launch Site now gives players a much louder way to use the grid. Feed tech rubbish and an aiming module into the Satellite Control Computer and you can guide a satellite down onto the island, with the descent visible across the server before the crash leaves new loot crates behind. It is valuable loot with a huge public announcement attached, so pulling it off is only the start of the fight.

Crude oil now links Large Oil Rig, Small Oil Rig, and Dome in a similar way. A switch on Large Oil Rig starts a 20-minute pumping window once Power Plant is online, while Small Oil Rig can run a slower feed at the same time. Collecting the oil at Dome needs the Tanker vehicle module and a car lift rather than an empty inventory, so groups have to prepare the transport as well as win control of the route.

Water Treatment completes the main network by filling roadside water pipes after players power its gearboxes and supply the gears. Elsewhere, Abandoned Supermarket has a freezer that produces chilled food, Oxum's Gas Station gets a working car lift and powered garage door, and Airfield's rebuilt control tower can trigger airdrop and cargo helicopter events. Places that used to be visited, looted, and forgotten now have jobs worth keeping online or taking away from somebody else.

Away from the grid, beds and sleeping bags can appear on the compass, favourite respawn points stay at the top of the list, the Recycle Bin workbench upgrade has its own storage, and the F1 console should cope better with long output. High external walls now use a static upkeep cost to discourage enormous area-blocking runs. Equipment balance has moved around too, including stronger cold protection on the Snow Jacket, cheaper Blowpipes and Bucket Helmets, a Tier 1 requirement for Wolf Headdresses, and the option to move a shield between your side and back while aiming.

Because satellite crashes, powered recyclers, crude pumping, Water Treatment, and Airfield events affect shared parts of the map, Power Trip should move players around the server and create fights in places that had become predictable. Servers using plugins, custom loot tables, or monument changes need checking after the update rather than assuming those systems still line up with the rebuilt monuments.
