RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 Is Here

RuneScape: Dragonwilds has left Early Access with the Scorned Wilderness raid, new equipment to work towards and the final fight against Kuldra. The 1.0 release also brings the game to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, with crossplay letting friends on PC and consoles explore Ashenfall together.
If you're returning to a world that hasn't reached the Umbral Sands yet, you'll need to defeat the Black Knight Titan to open the way into the desert. Work through its questline towards the Fight Cave and Fuzan, the Dragon General standing between you and Kuldra. You'll want to upgrade your equipment to Adamant armour, Red Dragonhide or Infinity Robes before taking on the Scorned Wilderness, depending on how you prefer to fight.
The Nightmare Crucible in Umbral Sands is another option if you want to upgrade equipment before taking on the raid. Find Engrams in the region to access its boss-rush challenges and earn Ascension Cores for upgrades. Alongside the desert's craftable equipment, that gives returning players something to work on before heading into the Scorned Wilderness.

The Scorned Wilderness takes you across floating islands torn apart by wild anima, with Black Dragons and attacks from Kuldra making the journey to her part of the fight. You can tackle the raid alone or with friends, fighting through its encounters before facing the God-Eater herself. Regicide is the new quest, and there's a separate hub where you can build, although building is disabled inside the raid.
Rune armour, Black Dragonhide gear and Ancestral Robes give melee, ranged and magic players their next equipment to craft from the new resources. Rune weapons, Magic bows and Ancestral weapons are being added alongside them, so there's new kit to work towards whichever way you prefer to fight.
You'll need an Adamant Pickaxe or better for Runite and Luminite, and a Rune Logging Axe for Magic Wood. Black Dragon Hide is processed at the Advanced Tannery. For Vis Cloth, make Vis Fibers at the new Advanced Spinning Wheel and Draconic Vis Wax at the Brewing Cauldron, then combine them at the Loom.
Defeating Kuldra earns you a Dragon Kiteshield and a cape, with Dragon armour, the Dragon Scimitar and Dragon Crossbow among the rewards to chase through further successful raids. Those are separate from the Rune, Black Dragonhide and Ancestral equipment you craft, so collecting the full range of new gear means both gathering materials and returning to the raid.

If you've already been training towards level 99, the update adds more rewards along the existing skill tracks. Dowdun Reach raised the cap earlier in the year, before every skill had rewards throughout those levels. Mining and Woodcutting received their later unlocks with Umbral Sands, and the Scorned Wilderness release continues that work across the existing skills. Check the updated tracks when you return, particularly if you've already trained beyond their old unlocks.
The new wands give magic users a faster, more mobile alternative to staves, while Runic Refund adds a 30% chance to save runes when attacking. Enfeeble weakens enemy attacks and Vengeance reflects damage. Successful parries now restore half your maximum stamina, weapon specials use a recharging bar, and dodging or blocking can cancel attacks and spells.
After a gathering trip, the new Storage Ledger sorts carried items into existing stacks in linked chests. Home Teleport returns you to your claimed bed for 15 Law Runes, with a 15-minute cooldown, and large builds should load faster.

Although this completes Kuldra's Saga, more updates are planned after 1.0. Luminance is due this winter, with Prayer on the roadmap for that update rather than the launch release. Agility arrived earlier, so players returning after a longer break can already train it and use its movement abilities while catching up.
