ASKA's Great Hall and Feasts Update Is Here

ASKA's Great Hall and Feasts Update gives established settlements a new late-game project and more reasons to keep food production running. Alongside the Great Hall and its feasts, it adds wheat, windmills and bread, expands Custom Game settings, and changes how walls, villager jobs and fishing work.
Once you've built the Great Hall and stocked enough high-tier food, you can hold a feast for the whole settlement. The feast gives villagers long-lasting boosts to productivity, morale and combat, making the building useful well beyond its size.

The new bread production starts with wild wheat from the swamp islands, which you can grow at an Improved Farm. A Windmill turns the harvest into flour for the Cooking House, and the new Milling job lets a villager manage that part of the work. The wind direction affects how quickly the mill runs, so it is worth checking when production slows.

Building walls around uneven ground should be easier now that you can lay them out in a similar way to roads. Slanted wall pieces follow slopes, while the new Deep Well lets you place a water source away from existing water once you have a Water rune. Both changes give you more choice when deciding where the village should grow.
The expanded Custom Game settings let your group decide how a new world should play before anyone starts building. You can change player stats and proficiencies, season lengths, starting tribe progress, equipment and invasion frequency to make the next settlement more relaxed or more demanding.

Victory conditions are another Custom Game option, with goals to build the Great Hall, defeat the Stone Jotun or survive five winters. You can also leave the goal unset if your group would rather keep building without an end point.

ASKA's reworked whitelist is for village work, not server access. You can choose which villagers can take certain jobs or use certain buildings, including individual exceptions. Existing rules need setting up again after the update, so check your assignments before leaving the village to run on its own.
Lake fishing now has separate limits from sea fishing, with catches depending on the species and stocks recovering gradually and with the seasons. If your settlement relies on one lake for most of its fish, check its output after updating rather than assuming the old route will keep producing at the same rate.
Long-running settlements should benefit from more reliable saves and lower CPU use from vegetation rendering. Several worker bugs have also been fixed, including villagers getting stuck, failing to find resources or leaving jobs unfinished.
The hotfixes that followed the main release corrected Great Hall navigation and feast behaviour, along with several dedicated-server issues. The 8 September patch fixed custom worlds failing to start with a starting chest, villagers refusing to eat bread and Windmill items decaying in storage. Another fix stops Smolkrs, the rabbit-looking creatures below, walking through walls and fences. Make sure your server and every player are on the latest build before returning to a world.

The official notes do not tell players to start a new world for this update, but you should still back up a settlement you care about before upgrading. Once the server is back online, check its old whitelist rules, Custom Game settings and food jobs before leaving the villagers to it.
