Game overview
What is Foundry?
Foundry is a first-person factory builder game set in a procedurally generated and infinite voxel world! You start off on an unexplored planet where you can begin building your base, with the goal to build an epically sized automated robot production facility. The game has an AI friend called Carl, and with your own Foundry server you can have many other friends (up to 32) join to help build the factory!
You begin with manual resource extraction, as you might be familiar with in other survival/factory games, then move on to automating that with the utilisation of conveyor belts and pipes. As your technology progresses, you'll end up creating enormous factory complexes from deep underground to the top of the sky.
The world is formed by a grid-based system of blocks that allow you to sculpt the landscape, dig massive tunnels or build a 1x1 tower as high as you can into the sky. There are many biomes to explore too, from dense jungles and mountain ranges to great plains and deserts, with even more to discover below the surface.
You'll need to come up with solutions to a range of challenges such as power distribution, how to split resources between factories, and maintaining the delicate balance between input and output. This will ensure you keep everything running at full speed for optimal progression, plus it is quite fun figuring out the best way each part of the factory should be built!
